To All Finance Staff, Finance Clients and System Users

I am pleased to announce key organisational and responsibility changes within the Finance team with effect from Monday 12 March 2007.

I am delighted to announce that Frank Laezza has been appointed as Director of Budget and Management Reporting. In this role, Frank will be responsible for the provision of all Financial Performance reporting services to the University. Additionally, he will manage UNSW's Budgeting and Forecasting processes.

Frank's current portfolio of responsibilities for Accounting / Shared Services, will be integrated within the Financial Control unit, under the leadership of King Chen, Director of Financial Control.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Frank and the Accounting / Shared Services team for their continued hard work during this time of change.
 
Mark Gering will resume his position as Senior Commercial Analyst. I would like to thank Mark for the excellent work he performed as Acting Director of Budget and Management Reporting, so soon after his arrival at UNSW.

I would also like to thank the Budget and Management Reporting team for their co-operation during this transitional period.

Finally, Cecilia Yuen will take over responsibility for the coordination of the Finance Transformation and WPP projects as well as continuing to oversee Finance Systems. Congratulations and many thanks to Matt Easdown who is leaving UNSW to take up a permanent position as National Finance Director with Ernst & Young.

These changes are designed to better align functions within the Finance team and assist staff in the effective performance of their responsibilities.
