Dear Members of the Executive Team and Deans,

Please find attached the 2007 End of year Accounting Timetable and requests for information that are a standard part of our end of year processes. The attachments are as follows:

1. The 2007 End of year Accounting Timetable, highlighting dates for such things as the close dates for accounts payable and petty cash reimbursement.

2.Year End 2007 - Provision, Contingent Liabilities and Contingent Assets (due date Friday 14^th December 2007)

3. Year End 2007 - Lease Commitments  and 2007 Lease Register Template (due date Friday 14^th December 2007)

4. The Accrual and Pre-payment journal form (due date Thursday 10^th January 2008)

It will be necessary for you to obtain information from all business units under your supervision in order to complete these requests.

Please note the deadlines for the submission of information to us.

These requests are unavoidably conveyed using the language of the accounting standards, which sometimes creates challenges. Staff from Financial Control will contact your office in the coming days to provide any assistance you may require.
