Statement and Acquittal Workflow Process

Chief Investigators will receive emails to approve their financial statements with the financial statement and ledger/transactions attached, the email will be generated from the Dynamics Application – ‘FIN Research Finance Reporting’ and not from Research Accounting. 

It looks like this:

To complete the approval process you will need to do the following:

  1. Open and review the financial statements and other supporting documentation that will be attached to the email.
  2. Click one of the links on the bottom of the email to Approve or Reject the financial statements and supporting documentation.
  3. A new email will open with Approve or Reject in the body of the email.
  4. If you select Reject you must add a comment to the reply email identifying the reasons for rejection, required adjustments or clarification required.
  5. Send the email.

If you do not Approve/Reject within 3 days of receiving the initial email a notification email will be sent reminding you to Approve/Reject. The same will occur after 5 days.

If you reject the financial statements, a new email will be sent once the adjusted financial statements and supporting documentation are ready for you to review and Approve/Reject. If you do not Approve/Reject within 1 day of receiving the adjusted statements a notification email will be sent reminding you to Approve/Reject.
