- Who / What's Covered?
UNSW has protection for claims by third parties made against staff or students seeking compensation for negligence in the provision of medical services and treatment, including arising from clinical training.
- Level of Cover
This policy does not cover medical personnel working in UNSW’s clinics, contractors or consultants as they are required to carry their own insurance. This insurance does not provide cover for students wanting to undertake work experience in addition to the requirements of their course. Upon specific application, this insurance can cover any lecturer or short term study course provider in respect of healthcare services, provided they are working under contract to UNSW.
